Artwork
The wine and painting are a dedication to Tom’s brother and sister-in-law’s first child. Kate painted an old photo of the lineup of their farm boots, a set for each parent and a tiny pair for the baby.
Tasting Notes
This is the biggest wine that Tom has made to date. It’s one to drink now or even let sit for, say, 18 years when the youngster is ready to drink it! Deep red fruits, ripe plum and some classic Grenache raspberry swirl around a very concentrated mouthfeel. Tannins are light, but the wine is deep.
Winemaking
Grenache and Syrah were handled lightly but allowed to sit with the skins for a bit longer than Tom typically does. Aged in neutral French oak for 15 months, concentrating more and more with each month until it was time to call it and get it into bottle July, 2025.

Grown by the Kennedys in Heathcote - see the ‘Midnight Dilemma’ Shiraz and ‘Neighbour’s Fruit’ Pet Nat Rose sections for more details on the vineyard.
