2024 'Fedora Tipper' Orange
Artwork
A painting was requested of this specific hat, which their Grandad would often wear, as Tom believes Fedoras will be making a strong resurgence in the coming years and he would like to show his advocacy early.
Tasting Notes
This wine is your ideal companion for a day at the park, complete with your fedora and bocce set. It's as refreshing as breakfast juice, boasting flavours of pure apricots, plenty of stonefruit and bruised apple, all gracefully held together by these lovely, light, chalky tannins.
Winemaking
Tom is on a mission to find the best combination for a textural skin-contact white/orange, this year the makeup included: Grenache Blanc (50%), which spent 8 days on its skins, blended with co-fermented Fiano (35%) & Vermentino (15%), which spent 14 days on their skins. 30% of the blend then spent 2 months in neutral French oak to add to the wine's complexity with a hint of hazelnut at the finish.
Vineyard
Owned and managed by Ashley Radcliffe, the vineyard is accredited with the Sustainable Winegrowing Certification, which demonstrates their focus on the environmental and social aspects of their business. The soil is comprised of well-draining sandy loam over limestone. As a nice touch between grower and maker, Ashley personally delivers the fruit from South Australia in his refrigerated truck.
